Now that you have chosen an affiliate product and a group of keywords that you plan to target (Step 1 of the Learning Resources), finding topics for your article marketing campaign  isn’t difficult at all.  In fact, the keywords that you chose earlier in the keyword relevance and selection tutorial   will form the entire basis for finding your article campaign topics.  If you haven’t read that tutorial yet, go back and read it now.  It’s important to your success with article marketing.

Okay, let’s say that you are marketing an ebook aimed at curing panic attacks.  You’ve  done your keyword research and settled on the following keywords phrases that meet our four criteria for good keyword selection (as discussed in the keyword relevance and selection tutorial ):

“panic attack treatment”
“treatment for panic attacks”
“panic attack cures”

 (I’m speaking hypothetically here, of course!  I haven’t actually researched these specific keyword phrases.)

To find good article topics, simply do a Google search of your keyword phrases and see what resources come up, starting with your most promising keyword phrase first. 

For example, let’s say that “panic attack cures” was my best keyword phrase because there wasn’t much competition for it.  Searching that keyword phrase in Google (you don’t need to put quotes around it), here’s what the first page search results look like.

As you can see, there are a lot of resources from which you can draw inspiration.  Also, try typing in your keyword phrase plus the word “article”.  When I search the phrase “panic attack cures article” (without the quotes), I get these results.

Now, we’ve gone one step further and we can see exactly what others have written about and submitted to the major article directories!

Using the web pages and articles that you’ve found doing these two Google searches of your keywords, you can easily come up with a quick list of great article topics instead of sitting around trying to re-invent the wheel.

With these article topic ideas jotted down, it’s time to create your article content.
