Choosing a web host is an important decision which can significantly impact your affiliate marketing business. If your host goes down due to technical issues, then your site is also down and you will be unable to make sales or add new subscribers to your mailing list.

For this reason, you need to ensure that the host you choose is fast and reliable. Your host should guarantee “up-time” of at least 99% but ideally, 99.9% or higher.  The host should also offer a reasonably priced plan ($10 or less per month) with enough monthly “bandwith”, which is the amount of bytes of data transferred from your site to visitors when they browse.  Typically 3GB of bandwidth is sufficient for a new site but we recommend that you choose a plan with unlimited bandwidth.

Finally, as problems always seem to happen at the least convenient times, ensure that your host has live technical support available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Don’t choose a host which does not have access to live technical support staff working on weekends and holidays.
